TRINITY RIVER AUTHORITY REPORTS OVERFLOW IN WASTEWATER COLLECTION SYSTEM
(ARLINGTON, TEXAS) – The Central Regional Wastewater System plant experienced an overflow on Wednesday, Feb. 21. Heavy rains caused a hydraulic overload, which occurred near 3501 International Place, Irving Texas.
All wastewater overflows in excess of 100,000 gallons must be reported to the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality, the public and other designated public officials. The final estimated quantity of the overflow will be reported to TCEQ.
No public drinking water supplies have been threatened or contaminated by this overflow; no aquatic life has been affected. TRA has notified all required city, county and state officials.

A spill from a wastewater treatment or collection facility has occurred.
THE FOLLOWING ACTIONS HAVE BEEN TAKEN:
- Appropriate local governmental officials have been notified.
- TCEQ regional office has been notified.
