TRINITY RIVER AUTHORITY OF TEXAS BIOSOLIDS ARE LANDFILLED 

(ARLINGTON, TEXAS) – The Trinity River Authority of Texas uses a contractor to transport the beneficial biosolids produced at its Central Regional Wastewater System to local landfills.

Suburban growth, farther distances and the cost of regulatory compliance associated with beneficial land application make landfilling the best option for TRA, at this time. As treatment technology evolves, TRA may resume beneficial land application, which is safe, environmentally sound and a benefit to the agricultural community.
